Easter has passed and spring break is over. The snow birds have flown back north. Family vacations will not begin until the end of May. What does all of that mean? It means we are in the sweet spot here in Florida. It's the time of year when we have the place pretty much to ourselves. There are no lines at restaurants, no crowds at the stores, and traffic is manageable. I need to go buy a sd card this afternoon and I am actually looking forward to it. Life is good.

Pandemic?
The possible swine flu pandemic is the main topic of every news channel I flip to. There was a case confirmed in Florida today, in Orlando, of course. I am wondering if this is really something for the public to be worried about or if it is the result of the media latching on to a new story. There haven't been any deaths reported outside of Mexico. I would be curious to hear how the death rates for swine flu compare to the death rates for other flu outbreaks there. There are always deaths in a flu outbreak. No one has bothered to announce that information. I'm just saying...
