I'm Playing Nurse

I am playing nurse today. It's not a role that I cherish but I guess it comes with being a wife. My husband is feeling under the weather. I think it's allergies but he says its a cold. I have him propped up on the couch with one of our bed wedges, the tv remote, a box of tissues and a cup of hot tea. He had demanded home made chicken soup for dinner so I'm off to the kitchen. I hope this is a short lived illness!

It's Earth Day

Today is earth day. What are you doing to help preserve our life here on planet earth? Since we live in sunny Florida I have made a commitment to incorporating solar cooking into our lives. I tried it a while ago but never went forward with it. Now I am going to utilize the free, renewable power source right outside my door on a regular basis. It's a small start, but every little bit counts.
